Law & Moore X Bookishly Collaboration
THE MOST STRIKING AND TIMELESS COLLABORATION YET..
We have had the absolute joy and honour of collaborating with Law & Moore, creating a striking and timeless classic literary print collection this Autumn/Winter 2022. Law & Moore is a family run business based in Coventry. Best described as creative goodness and made with love, Law & Moore are known for their striking range of movie and TV posters, so much so, we couldn't resist suggesting we add some of our favourite classic literature.
We are over the moon to release this collection to our bookish family and hope you enjoy it as much as we do. The collection features our famous pieces Hamlet, The Great Gatsby, A Casebook of Sherlock Holmes, Dracula, A Midsummer Nights Dream and Peter Pan.
To celebrate this amazing collaboration we interviewed our designer, Jess, to get an in-house perspective.
'The collaboration came together quite quickly, we're big fans of Law & Moore so I was really excited meeting Martin and getting to work with his iconic posters! Our range features artwork from 6 of our existing book covers, so it was just a case of pulling those designs into his poster template, and then turning them into postcards too.
It's always really satisfying seeing a design you're excited about become a physical thing, this was extra exciting because I've admired Law & Moore for so long, it feels surreal to see some of my own illustrations on their posters!
My favourite of the range are Sherlock, the limited colour palette and silhouetted figures suit the Law & Moore style so well, and Hamlet because it's just beautiful!
I think we chose the best of our existing classic covers to turn into L&M posters, but we design for classic titles every month and there are some really exciting ones coming up this year that I might have to design with this in mind!'
